Interesting read. Also, I'd never heard of Gilbern before - anyone on here familiar with them? They definitely sound intriguing, and this particular example looks lovely.

Never heard of Gilbern Sports Cars (Components) Ltd ? You are SO missing out lad :) 'twas upon a time, that a man from Wales and a man from Germany decided to make some cars together.. Ah screw it.. here's a link LINK .
By the way, I'm the resident Gilbern enthusiast of Oppo, I've written about Gilbern before, and I NEWER miss the opportunity to post a picture of the glorious Gilbern Invader..
BUT... honestly, they where pretty shitty cars with rather shitty engines, but I love them.

A welsh car need a Welsh emblem you know :) Gilbern Cars was from Rhondda Cynon Taf, Pontypridd after all, how much more Welsh could it be?

Those are some gorgeous words, do you suppose the instruments were labeled with Cymric? What's Welsh for "gas gauge" or "oil pressure" I wonder?

Take photos in Cardiff! I've never been.
Also, if the instruments are labeled with Cymric I'm definitely going to have to buy one. That would be fantastic.
